Greg Hinzmann - Principal of Level 4 Design

Greg brings seventeen years of design experience combined with an MBA to provide unique insight into creating a Design Advantage for his clients.

Greg works with clients to improve their performance through the strategic application and management of design. As a thought leader in the area of design strategy and management, Greg applies a design-based perspective to critical business issues. With this unique perspective, Greg is able to help clients identify new market opportunities, spur innovation and build brand.

In addition to strategic consulting, Greg also conducts seminars on design and design trends.

Greg Hinzmann is a highly accomplished designer with over a dozen national and international awards to his credit, including three prestigious Gold IDEA awards. Greg designed the best-selling Hewlett Packard LaserJet 1100 and his work for Coleman has been featured at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Prior to forming Level 4, Greg Hinzmann was Creative Director at Ziba in Portland, Oregon where he worked on strategic projects for clients including Hewlett Packard, Intel, Xerox, Whirlpool, Compaq and Rollerblade, among others. Greg was also Design Director at Design Edge in Austin, Texas where he managed strategic projects for clients such as Dell, Gateway, and 3Com.

Greg writes a blog on bridging the gap between design and business (www.greghinzmann.com) and has authored articles for Innovation, MarketingProfs.com and Commerce magazine. His work has been featured in BusinessWeek, ID magazine, and several books. Greg has also taught marketing at the Art Institute of Portland and is a featured speaker in the Oregon Executive MBA program.

Greg received his MBA from the University of Oregon and his BFA in Industrial Design from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit.
